HOFTC: Choose Your Own Adventure

(K-5TH Grade, Max 8)

Would your child like to join friends for an organized active game led by one of our experienced counselors? Would they prefer to play an indoor board game or card game? How about solo time to color or work on homework? Maybe they just need some less-structured free-time on the playground or field (rain or shine!) after school to burn off excess energy and engage in free play. We offer all of those options! Choose Your Own Adventure allows each child to recharge after school in their own way, without screens and with proper supervision.

House of Dance: Creative Dance

(K-2ND Grade, Min 6/Max 15)

This class is designed to ignite a passion for movement, providing an exciting introduction to various dance styles. From ballet's grace to hip-hop's infectious rhythms, and from contemporary's fluidity to jazz's precision, our curriculum exposes dancers to a broad spectrum of styles. Students will learn the technical foundations of each style while nurturing their creative spirit. Through collaboration, guided experimentation, and fun dance games, they'll discover their unique voice as movers!

 

Kodely: Little Lego Inventors

(PreK-K Grade, Min 8/Max 16)

Young builders design and construct their own LEGO creations -- animals, vehicles, houses, and imaginative worlds. Guided prompts introduce early engineering ideas (balance, symmetry, stacking) through play, storytelling, and hands-on building.

Kodely: Little Picassos

(PreK-K Grade, Min 8/Max 16)

Pint-sized artists explore color, texture, and process art through hands-on projects -- finger painting, collage, clay, stamping, watercolors, and mixed-media creations. Every session ends with a take-home piece and a proud "look what I made!" moment.​​.

Let’s Play: Pickleball

(2ND-5TH Grade, Min 7/Max 12)

Are you ready to play the official state sport of Washington? From gripping the paddle to executing the perfect serve, we will learn the fundamentals of this fast-paced sport through engaging drills and hands-on coaching. With each successful rally, young athletes will build confidence and learn to take risks, embrace challenges, and strive for their best both on and off the court. Fun doubles matches and cooperative exercises will provide the opportunity to practice communication, collaboration, and sportsmanship. But our Pickleball class isn't just about mastering skills; it's about having a blast every step of the way! Let's serve up some fun! Our class is aligned to the youth programming provided by the USA Pickleball Association.

Little Hands: Machine Sewing

(2ND-5TH Grade, Min 3/Max 16)

Whether your student is brand new to sewing or already has experience, this class offers opportunities to learn, grow, and create. All students begin with a comprehensive safety orientation covering essential machine protocols and studio expectations. Machine sewing is an exciting, hands-on experience that requires focus, patience, fine motor coordination, and care. Students learn how to safely operate our heavy-duty sewing machines while developing problem-solving skills, confidence, resilience, and independence. Instructors provide individualized support and guidance throughout the learning process. This is a student-led class where students progress at their own pace. After completing the beginner curriculum, students must successfully complete two prerequisite projects before gaining full autonomy in selecting independent projects. Project offerings rotate each session and may include backpacks, clothing, accessories, bags, games, and stuffed animals.

Musical Minds: Piano Keyboard Club

(1ST-5TH Grade, Min 4/Max 14)

The club is a combination of keyboard piano lessons and a music learning workshop, which uses a clever visual method to teach the basics of music reading and piano playing. We've developed lots of learning games and activities designed to teach kids basic music reading skills and playing techniques, in ways that are fun, engaging, and stimulating. We want our students to stay motivated and continue to want to learn to play music, whether they like Taylor Swift or Beethoven. We have all the music they want. We have music from Stars Wars, Jurassic World, Moana, Wicked, KPOP Demon Hunters and lots more. Each participant has his/her own keyboard supplied during the class, along with headphones, and books and other materials are included. This session is for both brand new students AND more advanced students.

Pacifica: Movie Making

(1ST-5TH Grade, Min 4/Max 14)

Does your child love movies? In this class, students will learn how writers tell stories on the big screen. They will then write

screenplays, film their movies, and celebrate it all with a class film festival.

Seattle Dance Fitness: Hip Hop Kids

(2ND-5TH Grade, Min 10/Max 18)

Through the Pokémon Trading Card Game, your children will learn how to contextualize their reading and math skills, long term strategic thinking and planning, how to make fair and equitable trades, and how to be a kind and sportsmanlike competitor. Our certified Pokémon Professors will provide, decks for children to play with (all levels of play) among - other materials, teaching materials and educational games (Pokécatch, Attach and Attack, Raid Battles, etc.), and high-quality lessons/presentations on how to play Pokémon TCG.
