In close partnership with the school community, HOFTC provides after-school enrichment programming on-site. We work with many amazing locally owned businesses to deliver a diverse menu of classes for families to choose from.

Not all activities will be offered for all ages in every session.

Unless otherwise indicated, all ages are welcome to join any class. Kids will be divided into appropriate age groups daily.

1on1 Sports: After-School Soccer
K-2ND Grade, Min 10/Max 18
Skilled and experienced instructors will conduct an exciting and progressive session each week right after school. We will learn age-appropriate fundamentals, rules and strategies of the beautiful game, and have fun scrimmaging while focusing on teamwork, sportsmanship, and FUN!
Bilingual Kids Seattle: Spanish Language!
K-5TH Grade, Min 10/Max 18
Students will learn and practice the second most commonly spoken language in the U.S. while benefiting from language learner outcomes such as support for higher academic achievement and the development of cognitive skills. Additionally, learning a new language gives students a greater global understanding of our world and access to another culture to see things from a new perspective. This is an immersion class consisting of language instruction in an academic setting which follows an innovative, dynamic and well-researched curriculum.
Bricks 4 Kidz: Amusement Parks
K-3RD Grade, Min 8/Max 14
Learn, build and play with your favorite amusement park attractions! Students will use LEGO® Bricks to construct motorized models like the Tilt-a-Whirl, Loop-de-Loop, and an upside-down Swing Boat! These engaging lessons will give students an understanding of the physical forces they experience every day, such as G-forces, inertia and momentum. Let's go for a ride!
Bricks 4 Kidz: Gadgets & Gizmos
K-3RD Grade, Min 8/Max 14
Build and explore crazy contraptions that really work your brain! Students use LEGO® Bricks, axles, pulleys, gears and motors to create fun and interactive models. We'll make cool gizmos like battle tops, Mini-Fig movers, paper crinklers and motorized spin art. Kids will love playing with their creations and learn about engineering along the way!
HOFTC: Choose Your Own Adventure
All Ages, Mon/Tue/Thu Max 8, Wed/Fri Max 24
Would your child like to join friends for an organized active game led by one of our experienced counselors? Would they prefer to play an indoor board game or card game? How about solo time to color or work on homework? Maybe they just need some less-structured free-time on the playground or field (rain or shine!) after school to burn off excess energy and engage in free play. We offer all of those options! Choose Your Own Adventure allows each child to recharge after school in their own way, without screens and with proper supervision.
HOFTC: Gaga Ball + HOF Games
2ND-5TH Grade Wed B0, K-5th Grade Wed B1/Fri Min 8/Max 16
Can’t get enough Gaga Ball? Play every week while mixing in some other summer camp favorites such as 9-Square, Castle Ball, and dodgeball games! Newcomers will learn the games and improve their skills, while seasoned players can get their competitive juices flowing.
Kids Carpentry Seattle
K-5TH Grade, Min 5/Max 18
Kids' Carpentry is a hands-on toy building experience designed to teach kids practical woodworking skills with an emphasis on the safe use of hand tools. While kids construct fun and exciting projects, they are also empowered to become independent thinkers--building confidence, self-esteem, and a repertoire of practical skills that will last them a lifetime. At the end of the session kids will bring home one or more wooden games or toys that they have built by hand from scratch.
Kodely: Mad Science Chemistry Lab
K-5TH Grade, Min 8/Max 18
Students dive into the world of science through messy, exciting experiments. Activities include making bubbling potions, oozing slime, glowing mixtures, and color-changing reactions. Each session builds scientific thinking in a fun, safe way.
Kong Academy: Parkour
K-2ND Grade, Min 6/Max 12
Get ready for an adventurous journey in Social Awareness, Relationships, and Responsible Decision-Making Skills. The Kong Academy program empowers kids physically, socially, and emotionally through: play, games, and parkour-based movement. Join us as your kids unlock their social superpowers through fitness-focused games and movement-based adventures. They'll dive into a world of teamwork, navigating challenges that foster social awareness and build positive relationships.
Let’s Play: Pickleball
2ND-5TH Grade, Min 7/Max 12
Calling all young athletes! Are you ready to play the official state sport of Washington? From gripping the paddle to executing the perfect serve, we will learn the fundamentals of this fast-paced sport through engaging drills and hands-on coaching. With each successful rally, young athletes will build confidence and learn to take risks, embrace challenges, and strive for their best both on and off the court. Fun doubles matches and cooperative exercises will provide the opportunity to practice communication, collaboration, and sportsmanship. But our Pickleball class isn't just about mastering skills; it's about having a blast every step of the way! Let's serve up some fun! Our class is aligned to the youth programming provided by the USA Pickleball Association.
Orangutan Chess: Chess Club
K-8TH Grade, Min 8/Max 24
Chess Club is a community for new and experienced students to learn and play together. We review how to setup and play Standard Chess, including checkmate patterns, chess tricks and traps (tactics), and how to start a game (openings). All students receive a ChessKid account with 24/7 access to supplemental chess puzzles, lessons, and games! Students learn how to play in chess tournaments (optional). Students also learn popular chess variants and invent their own variants.
Seattle Dance Fitness: Hip Hop Kids
K-5TH Grade, Min 5/Max 15
Hip Hop Kids Dance Fitness classes (aka Hip Hop Kids) feature kid-friendly routines based on original hip hop and pop choreography. We break down the steps and add games and other activities into the class structure. Plenty of time to FREESTYLE too! Think of this class as a weekly after school DANCE PARTY! Hip Hop Kids helps to develop a healthy lifestyle and incorporate fitness as a natural part of children’s lives by making fitness fun! Classes incorporate key childhood development elements like leadership, respect, teamwork, confidence, self-esteem, memory, creativity, coordination, and cultural awareness.
Seattle Tennis & Education Foundation: After-School Tennis
K-5TH Grade, Min 6/Max 12
Seattle Tennis & Education Foundation is a sports-based youth development nonprofit that uses tennis as a powerful tool to help young people grow, build confidence, and reach their full potential. Our mission is to make tennis accessible to all youth, regardless of socio-economic background. Each session introduces participants to the fundamentals of tennis—including groundstrokes, rallying, volleys, serves, and the rules of the game. In addition to athletic skills, we emphasize character development through lessons in sportsmanship, teamwork, communication, and positive self-talk. STEF is committed to providing a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where youth can stay active, learn a new sport, and most importantly, have fun. All equipment and supplies are provided.
Stone Soup Theatre: Lion King
1ST-3RD Grade, Min 8/Max 14
Kiddos will experience a story of honor, resilience, and unlikely friendship. Participants will also dance and sing to such songs as “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King” and “Hakuna Matata." Stone Soup's been providing afterschool theater enrichment for going on 30 years, and the programs they bring are an awesome way for students to make new friends and build self-esteem through drama.
Strategic Kids: Origami Basics
K-5TH Grade, Min 6/Max 18
Our Origami program introduces your child to the mesmerizing Japanese art form and culture! Our instructors guide your little ones through each step, ensuring they master the precise folds and intricate techniques to create stunning origami masterpieces. From adorable animals like dogs and cats to objects like samurai helmets and ninja stars, they’ll bring captivating creations to life!
Tabletop Village: Pokémon Club
2ND-6TH Grade, Min 8/Max 18
By providing lessons for children to trade and learn how to play the Pokémon Trading Card Game, your children will learn how to contextualize their reading and math skills, long term strategic thinking and planning, how to make fair and equitable trades, and how to be a kind and sportsmanlike competitor. Our certified Pokémon Professors will provide, decks for children to play with (all levels of play) among - other materials, teaching materials and educational games (Pokécatch, Attach and Attack, Raid Battles, etc.), and high-quality lessons/presentations on how to play Pokémon TCG.
Where Creatives Gather: Glow in the Dark, Jewelry, Tote Bags, & Art Journals
K-5TH Grade, Min 10/Max 16
We will explore artistic imagination through our favorite colors, textures, characters and beads. Projects include glow in the dark, sensory jewelry and keychains, designing amazing images to transfer onto tote bags, and crazy, cool art journals. Kids will learn how to add hidden pages, flap openings, attach squishies and more. They will express moods through vibrant colors, textures and artwork... the wackier, the better! I look forward to exploring all our ideas together and watching art unfold!
Where Creatives Gather: Sensory Art, Mixed Media, & Clay
K-5TH Grade, Min 10/Max 16
Take an adventure in creating sensory art, using mixed media, marbling paints, clay, concoctions of slime and textures. Projects will include, clay figures, mini canvas paintings with textures, Minecraft art, marbling paper and objects etc.--every week will be a different theme. Themes will include Minecraft, fantasy creatures, nature, favorite video game characters, pop art and more!
