Bricks 4 Kidz: Jurassic Brick Land

(K-2ND Grade, Min 8/Max 14)

Using motorized LEGO® bricks, we will build a world that comes to life with the gentle Brontosaurus, ferocious Velociraptor, terrifying TRex, and more! We’ll learn about amazing dinosaurs that lived during the Jurassic period, and other extinct, prehistoric animals that roamed the earth and swam the seas. Come learn, build and play at Jurassic Brick Land!

 

CraftLab Seattle: Art with Nature

(1ST-5TH Grade, Min 8/Max 12)

Art with Nature: Using nature as our inspiration this fall term - think plants, animals, seasons, and bugs! Each week we will focus on a new nature item to inspire our creativity and make fun and creative crafts to take home and enjoy. We will use upcycled, donated and thrifted materials each week so bring your creativity, your best cutting and gluing skills and of course a willingness to have fun with CraftLab Seattle!

 

Coding NP

(3RD-5TH Grade, Min 5/Max 16)

Creative Coding teaches your child to code by helping them make their own custom video games! Our Project based, multi-level classes are amazingly fun yet very effective in teaching creative problem solving AND emotional resilience. As the students bring their ideas to life, they iterate through the emotional cycle of Coding (idea>excitement>effort> frustration>more effort>triumph!). With our support and positive encouragement. Repeating this cycle not only builds great coders, but more importantly, develops emotional persistence that will help students enjoy taking on new challenges in all aspects of their lives. Students new to coding will participate in the Creative Coding core curriculum, learning the fundamental elements of coding using MIT's Scratch to create their very own computer games! Many parents and educators are realizing that the benefits of learning to code at a young age extend far beyond the skill itself. Through the "brain exercise" of coding, coders build intelligence like athletes build muscles. Just as importantly, they develop stronger problem-solving skills, confidence over technology, and emotional persistence.

Everlove Academy: Public Speaking, Debate, & Leadership

(K-2NDGrade, Min 5/Max 15)

Students will develop confidence, clear communication, and leadership skills through engaging public speaking and debate activities. In a supportive environment, they will practice organizing their thoughts, speaking with poise, and listening respectfully to others. Each class includes interactive exercises such as speeches, storytelling, improvisation, teamwork challenges, and mini debates designed to make learning both fun and impactful.

HCPT: STEM Escape Race

(K-2ND Grade, Min 7/Max 12)

Join the after-school adventure where science, technology, engineering, and math collide with codebreaking, mysteries, and nonstop fun! Each week, your team will tackle a new digital STEM-themed escape challenge—solving puzzles, cracking codes, and completing hands-on challenges to climb the Leaderboard in a race against neighboring schools. From dodging meteors on a Moon Base to stopping a museum heist with AI to breaking WWII codes on the Enigma Machine, every mission calls for sharp problem-solving, teamwork, and plenty of laughs along the way. Explore themes like Artificial Intelligence, aviation, oceanography, physics, outer space, engineering, algebra, and more—all designed by Harvard grads and Hollywood filmmakers. Do you have the STEM skills—and the speed—to escape before the clock runs out?

HOFTC: Choose Your Own Adventure

(K-5TH Grade, Max 8)

Would your child like to join friends for an organized active game led by one of our experienced counselors? Would they prefer to play an indoor board game or card game? How about solo time to color or work on homework? Maybe they just need some less-structured free-time on the playground or field (rain or shine!) after school to burn off excess energy and engage in free play. We offer all of those options! Choose Your Own Adventure allows each child to recharge after school in their own way, without screens and with proper supervision.

Little Hands: Machine Sewing

(2ND-5TH Grade, Min 3/Max 9)

Whether your student is brand new to sewing or already has experience, this class offers opportunities to learn, grow, and create. All students begin with a comprehensive safety orientation covering essential machine protocols and studio expectations. Machine sewing is an exciting, hands-on experience that requires focus, patience, fine motor coordination, and care. Students learn how to safely operate our heavy-duty sewing machines while developing problem-solving skills, confidence, resilience, and independence. Instructors provide individualized support and guidance throughout the learning process. This is a student-led class where students progress at their own pace. After completing the beginner curriculum, students must successfully complete two prerequisite projects before gaining full autonomy in selecting independent projects. Project offerings rotate each session and may include backpacks, clothing, accessories, bags, games, and stuffed animals.

Orangutan Chess: Chess Club

(K-8TH Grade, Min 5/Max 24)

Chess Club is a community for new and experienced students to learn and play together. We review how to setup and play Standard Chess, including checkmate patterns, chess tricks and traps (tactics), and how to start a game (openings). All students receive a ChessKid account with 24/7 access to supplemental chess puzzles, lessons, and games! Students learn how to play in chess tournaments (optional). Students also learn popular chess variants and invent their own variants.

Strategic Kids: Intro to Origami

(K-5TH Grade, Min 6/Max 18)

Introduction to Origami is a fun and exciting class where children will learn the Japanese art of Origami along with various aspects of Japanese culture. Each student will receive an origami instruction sheet and take home their creations each class. Origami creations include an origami box, samurai helmet, ninja star, dogs, cats, cranes and more. We encourage learning through play and challenges using the origami they make.

Tabletop Village: Pokémon Club

(2ND-5TH Grade, Min 10/Max 18)

By providing lessons for children to trade and learn how to play the Pokémon Trading Card Game, your children will learn how to contextualize their reading and math skills, long term strategic thinking and planning, how to make fair and equitable trades, and how to be a kind and sportsmanlike competitor. Our certified Pokémon Professors will provide, decks for children to play with (all levels of play) among - other materials, teaching materials and educational games (Pokécatch, Attach and Attack, Raid Battles, etc.), and high-quality lessons/presentations on how to play Pokémon TCG.
